TOWN OF CAREFREE NOTICE of a MEETING of the BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

TIME: 5:15 p.m.

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Board of Adjustment and to the public that the Board of Adjustment will hold a public meeting on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 5:15 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers at the Carefree Town Hall, 100 Easy Street in Carefree.

THE AGENDA FOR THE MEETING IS AS FOLLOWS:

AGENDA ITEM 2: PUBLIC HEARING, discussion, consideration and possible action on the following REQUEST for a VARIANCE. Public comments will be taken.

REQUEST:

APPROVAL of a VARIANCE to the Zoning Ordinance standards to allow the placement of six-foot (6’) high freestanding walls zero feet (0’) from the side property lines of the overall subdivision. Current zoning standards require such walls to be no more than 4.5 feet in height (or 5 feet if a pool safety barrier) and such walls shall not extend more than halfway into the required side yard setback area. In the R-3 zoning district, the required side yard setback is 10 feet.

NOTES:

A new name is proposed for the subdivision: Almarte.

The Planning and Zoning Commission and Development Review Board will hold a joint public meeting at 5:00 p.m. to address minor revisions to the approved final plat and site plan.
