NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE CAREFREE TOWN COUNCIL

WHEN:    TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2015   

WHERE:    CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME:    5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Town Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Town Council will hold a meeting open to the public at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree, Arizona.

For any item listed on the agenda, the Council may vote to go into Executive Sessions for advice of counsel and/or to discuss records and information exempt by law or rule from public inspection, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues §38-431.03.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

One or more members of the Council may be unable to attend the meeting in person and may participate by technological means or methods pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431(4).

ITEM #1    Approval of the September 1, 2015 Meeting Minutes for Executive Session.

ITEM #2    Approval of the September 1, 2015 Regular Town Council Meeting Minutes.

ITEM #3    Acceptance into the public record of the September, 2015 paid bills.

ITEM #4    Acceptance of the cash receipts and disbursements report for August, 2015.

ITEM #5    Approval of Fair/Festival License Applications for Cory Whalin and Su Vino Winery for Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m. for the following dates:

    Friday, November 6, 2015 to Sunday November 8, 2015

    Friday, November 20, 2015 to Sunday, November 22, 2015

    Friday, January 15, 2016 to Sunday, January 17, 2016

    Friday, January 29, 2016 to Sunday, January 31, 2016

    Friday, February 26, 2016 to Sunday, February 28, 2016

ITEM #6    Approval of Application for Special Event License for Foothills Community Foundation for the following dates and times::

    Friday, October 16, 23 and 30, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    Saturday and Sunday, October 17-18; 24-25, and,

    Saturday October 31, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

   

ITEM #7    Approval of an Application for Wine Festival License/Wine Fair License for Deubravka Wahl and Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery for November 6, 7, and 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

ITEM #8    Approval of an Application for 3 Extension of Premises/Patio Permits for Ray Klemp and AZ Wine Company for the following dates:

    November 20 through November 22, 2015

    November 27 through November 29, 2015

    December 11 through December 13, 2015

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #9    Call to the Public: Consideration of comments from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7(G) of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(H), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. The public may address the Council on matters not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

    made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter, direct staff to study the matter, reschedule the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, the Council may not discuss or take legal action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #10    Current Events.

ITEM #11    Review, discussion and acceptance into public record the annual                     audit of the Carefree – Cave Creek Consolidated Court.

ITEM #12    Review, discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 2015-10 adopting             the revised 2015 Maricopa County Multi-jurisdictional Multi-Hazard Mitigation             Plan for the Town of Carefree.

ITEM #13    Review, discussion and possible action to authorize the Mayor to enter into a         short-term lease with Easy Street South/ Mr. Ed Lewis for the first floor of 33     Easy Street building for a temporary sales and construction office.

ITEM #14    Review, discussion and possible action to authorize funds to bury the existing             Arizona Public Service utility lines currently located over Carefree Drive along             the south side of Cave Creek Road.
