NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN:TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2014

WHERE:CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME:5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Town Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Town Council will hold a meeting open to the public at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree, Arizona.

For any item listed on the agenda, the Council may vote to go into Executive Session for advice of counsel and/or to discuss records and information exempt by law or rule from public inspection, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues §38-431.03(A)(3).

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

ITEM #1Approval of the November 5, 2014 Regular Session Town Council Meeting Minutes.

ITEM #2Approval of the November 20, 2014 Special Session Town Council Meeting Minutes.

ITEM #3Acceptance into the public record of the November, 2014 paid bills.

ITEM #4Acceptance of the cash receipts and disbursements report for October, 2014.

ITEM #5Approval of the amendment to the Liquor License for Bashas’ Inc. due to an Application for Acquisition from Edward N. Basha, Jr. to Joseph Michael Basha for the business located at 36889 N. Tom Darlington, Carefree, AZ 85377.

ITEM #6Approval of the Application for Extension of Premises/Patio Permit for AZ Wine Company/Paradise Valley Wine Outlet, LLC, to provide beverage service December 12 – 14, 2014, during the Carefree Christmas Festival.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #7Call to the Public: Consideration of comments from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7(G) of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(H), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. The public may address the Council on matters not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter, direct staff to study the matter, reschedule the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date, or may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda. However, the Council may not discuss or take legal action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #8Current Events.

ITEM #9Presentation and discussion by Dr. Paul Dale, President of Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC), concerning PVCC and its involvement,           contribution to the community, and groundbreaking ceremony.

ITEM #10Review, discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 2014-14, a Joint Resolution of the Towns of Carefree and Cave Creek to accept the Cave Creek – Carefree Transportation Framework Study prepared by the Maricopa Association of Governments (“MAG”) and to collaborate in good faith to jointly and/or individually implement the study recommendations where appropriate and feasible.

ITEM #11Review, discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 2014-16 authorizing the Town of Carefree to accept the revised Carefree Arizona Emergency Operations Plan (the “Plan”) and declaring the Plan a public Record. 

ITEM #12Review, discussion and possible action to approve Resolution 2014-15 authorizing the Mayor to execute the Easy Street South Shared Parking Development Agreement.
