NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2011

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday December 6, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carefree Town Hall

Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council member so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #1-

A. Approval of November 1, 2011 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes

B. Approval of November 5, 2011 Town Council Town Hall Meeting Minutes.

100. C.Approval of November 9, 2011 Town Council Special Meeting Minutes.
     

ITEM #2- Ratification of November, 2011 paid bills.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #3- Review of Parktoberfest.

ITEM #4- Christmas Festival update.

ITEM #5- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or

may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take

action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

Firemen at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 5 p.m.

ITEM #8- Discussion and possible action regarding Application for Special Event Liquor License for a fundraiser for Knights of Columbus Council #11116 on Saturday, December 17,2011 from 6-9 p.m.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action regarding Application for Special Event Liquor License for a fundraiser for Knights of Columbus Council #11116 on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 6-9 p.m.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action regarding Application for Special Event Liquor License for a fundraiser for Knights of Columbus Council #11116 on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 6-9 p.m.

ITEM #11- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for September, 2011.

ITEM #12- Discussion and possible action regarding parking in Carefree Town Center.

ITEM #13- Discussion and possible action regarding the first reading of Ordinance 2011-08 adopting amendments to the Town of Carefree Zoning Ordinance amended through March 1, 2011, Article VII Signs Permitted; providing for repeal of certain provisions of the Town

of Carefree Zoning Ordinance; providing for separability, adoption and approval by the

Mayor and Common Council of the Town as required by law and directing the Town

Clerk of the Town of Carefree to incorporate this amendment into the Town of Carefree

Zoning Ordinance.

ITEM #14- Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution 2011-14 authorizing a Home Detention/Electronic Monitoring program for the Carefree Municipal Court.

ITEM #15- Discussion and possible action regarding a Town of Carefree Ten Year Pavement Maintenance Plan.

ITEM #16- Adjournment.
