NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, MARCH 5, 2013

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #1- Approval of February 5, 2013 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes.

ITEM #2- Acceptance into the public record of the February 2013 paid bills.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #3- Presentation of Proclamation to Paul and Karen Van Weelden in appreciation of their

donation in perpetuity of 20 acres to the Town.

ITEM #4- Presentation of Proclamation to Sonoran Arts League that April be known as April's for

the Arts in Carefree.

ITEM #5- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the

public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those

wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as

a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or

may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take

action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #6- Current Events.

ITEM #7- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for January, 2013.

ITEM #8- Presentation and discussion regarding Desert Foothills Library.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action regarding Liquor License Application 1470019, agent

change to Roger Gordon Bacon for Desert Forest Golf Club located at 37207 N. Mule

Train Road, Carefree, AZ 85377.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action regarding Special Event Liquor License for Carefree

Resort and Conference Center in support of Aunt Rita's Foundation on Saturday, March

23 from 5-11 p.m.

ITEM #11- Discussion and possible action regarding Agreement between the Town of Carefree and the Maricopa Association of Governments for the Cave Creek/Carefree Transportation

Framework Study.

ITEM #12- Discussion and possible action regarding an Intergovernmental Agreement for Regional Operations Management and Disaster Services Between Maricopa County, Arizona and the Town of Carefree.

ITEM #13- Adjournment.
