NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, MARCH 6, 2012

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday March 6, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #1- A. Approval of January 10, 2012 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes

2. B.Approval of February 7, 2012 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes
   

ITEM #2- Ratification of February, 2012 paid bills.

ITEM #3- Approval of use of the Council Chambers on Wednesdays, March 21 and April 18, 2012 for education seminars by representatives of REMAX Fine Properties from 6-7:30 p.m.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #4- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or

may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take

action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #5- Current Events

ITEM #6- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for January, 2012.

ITEM #7- Discussion and possible action regarding a Proclamation naming April, 2012 as

Parkinson’s Awareness month in the Town of Carefree.

ITEM #8- Discussion and possible action regarding renewal of the contract for services for

presiding magistrate of the Carefree Magistrate Court.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action regarding Desert Foothills Library.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action regarding the Fire Contract for the Town of Carefree.

ITEM #11- Discussion and possible action regarding pedestrian lights in the Town Center.

ITEM #12- Discussion and possible action regarding town owned directional signs in the Town right of way.

ITEM #13- Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution 2012-02 approving revised policies for use of the Council Chambers and delegating the Town Clerk with authority to approve all use and scheduling of the Council Chambers.
