NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, APRIL 2, 2013

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #1- A. Approval of March 5, 2013 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes.

2. B.Approval of March 19, 2013 Special Town Council Meeting Minutes.
   

ITEM #2- Acceptance into the public record of the March 2013 paid bills.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #3- Selection of Town Clerk/Treasurer to replace Ms. Wise upon her retirement in June

2013.

ITEM #4- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those

wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as

a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or

may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take

action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #5- Current Events.

ITEM #6- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for February, 2013.

ITEM #7- Discussion and possible action regarding Special Event Liquor License for American

Parkinson Disease Association-Arizona Chapter for an event to be held Saturday,

October 19, 2013 from 4-9 p.m.

ITEM #8- Discussion and possible action regarding street closure on Easy Street from Wampum

Way to Sunshine Way including the entrances on Lucky Lane, HoHum and Carefree

Drive for a Special Event Permit for Gathering of the Faithful (GOF) MG car owners on

Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 7 a.m. until Noon.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action on a street closure at Ho Hum Road between Easy Street and the parking lot located at 100 Easy Street, on Saturday April 20, 2013 from 7:00 AM

to 4:00 PM for the 2013 Earth Day Expo.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action regarding Ordinance 2013-01, a text amendment to

Articles III, IV, and V of the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map to establish a new

zoning district known as Open Space-Recreation (OS-R).

ITEM #11 Discussion and Possible action regarding Ordinance #2013-02, a text amendment to

Articles III and X of the Zoning Ordinance, related to the organization of the Board of

Adjustment and the variance process in the Town of Carefree.

ITEM #12- Adjournment.
