NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2012

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:05 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday September 4, 2012 at 5:05 p.m. at the Carefree Town HallCouncil Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

One or more candidates for appointment to the vacant Council seat may attend telephonically.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

ITEM #1- Discussion and possible action regarding appointment of Councilmember to fill vacancy on the Carefree Town Council.

ITEM #2- Administration of oath of office to new Councilmember.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #3- Approval of August 7, 2012 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes.

ITEM #4- Acceptance into the public record the August, 2012 paid bills.

ITEM #5- Approval of Proclamation declaring September Fall Prevention Awareness Month.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #6- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or

may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take

action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #7- Current Events

ITEM #8- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for July, 2012.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action regarding approval of Special Event Liquor License for Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce during the Thunderbird Arts Festivals November 2-4, 2012, January 18-20, 2013 and March 1-3, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action regarding street closure of the curb lanes of northbound Tom Darlington, eastbound Cave Creek Road and southbound Pima for the 9th Annual Tour De Scottsdale Special Event on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 6:30 a.m. to Noon.

ITEM #11- Adjournment.
