The Sonoran Arts League (SAL) is asking the Desert Foothills communities to proclaim the month of April, "April for the Arts".  Joan Collins spoke for SAL, saying there is a lot of history with Carefree and SAL.  They have worked together to ensure that the arts are part of the community.  She pointed out that a rich art environment impacts the overall presence and well being of any community.  Mayor David Schwan will be attending the SAL meeting in a few weeks, and will present SAL with Carefree's proclamation at that time.

 

 

 

SAL will be staging their renowned annual Festival of Fine Arts in downtown Carefree this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 15th-17th, so come on out and enjoy the fine weather and the fine art.
