On Saturday, April 20th, from 9 AM-1 PM an Earth Day celebration will be held in the Carefree Desert Gardens in downtown Carefree.  The event is a joint venture between the Towns of Carefree and Cave Creek. 

 

 

 

Carefree was approached by the Cave Creek Green Committee.  They love our Gardens and felt the zeriscape landscaping was consistent with this year's theme, water conservation, rendering it an appropriate forum.  It was previously held at the YMCA, but if successful, the Gardens may continue to be utilized for future Earth Day events.

Fun kid programs and activities

Xeriscape plant giveaways to the first 100 attendees

Xeriscape landscaping seminars

Water wise tips for desert hiking

First aid in the desert

Electric car demonstrations

Solar use demonstrations

Paper Shred and E-waste recycling (electronic waste and small appliances)

Wild At Heart Raptor Rescue

Meet Cave Creek Green Man
