At the June 4th Council meeting, the new Council was seated.  After the Council members took their oath of office, Mayor David Schwan nominated Councilman Les Peterson for the Vice Mayor position, and asked if there were any other nominations. Hearing none, incoming Town Clerk Kandace French proceeded with a roll call vote.  Mr. Peterson was elected Vice Mayor unanimously, with Councilmen Marty Saltzman and Mike Farrar absent.  He was sworn in by outgoing Town Clerk Betsy Wise.
