The past Fiscal Year audit was performed by Hinton Burdick, PLLC.  Town accountant Jim Keen said there were no audit adjusting entries.  The report on dollar amounts in the various departments are included in the audit.  The front page shows the revenues and the following page shows the expenses. 

 

 

 

Crimson from Hinton Burdick commended the staff, saying they did a fine job, and reiterated that there were no audit adjustments.  They were able to issue a clean opinion for both the Town and the Court.  She appreciated the opportunity to serve Carefree.

 

 

 

Mayor David Schwan directed the audience's attention to the slide of Table 6 .  Table 6 shows the reserve amounts at the end of each of the past 10 Fiscal Years, with extraordinary expenses on the far right hand side.  This Table demonstrates that Carefree has been prudent in how it has spent the citizens' money, and reserves continue to be at a very high level.  $2.5 million is considered the "rainy day fund".
