The former Cellar 13 Wine Bar will be reopening in mid to late August with the new name Bodega 13, a play on words.  Lawrence Foppe introduced himself, saying he's partnering with longtime friend Mike Hightower.  Mr. Foppe spoke of his extensive experience in the restaurant business.  He previously owned Jalapeno Inferno and Rhythm & Wine, both of which he sold to his sister, who is now running them.

 

 

 

Mr. Foppe is very excited about coming to Carefree.  They will be tweaking the concept slightly by expanding the food menu and adding tapas.  It has traditionally been a great local gathering place, and they look forward to seeing all the regular customers again.

 

 

 

Mayor Les Peterson welcomed Mr. Foppe and wished them well.
