NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 2013

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #1- A. Approval of May 7, 2013 Regular Town Council Meeting Minutes.

2. B.Approval of May 21, 2013 Special Meeting and Budget Workshop Meeting Minutes.
   

ITEM #2- Acceptance into the public record of the May 2013 paid bills.

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #3- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those

wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as a

result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism made

by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or may

ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take action at

this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #4- Current Events.

ITEM #5- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for April, 2013.

ITEM #6- Discussion and possible action regarding appointment of Planning and Zoning Board of

Commissioners.

ITEM #7- Discussion and possible action regarding adoption of the Intergovernmental Agreement

(IGA) for Animal Control Services.

ITEM #8- Discussion and possible action regarding the following road closures: Ho Hum from

Cave Creek Road to Easy Street, Easy Street from Wampum Way to Sundial Circle,

Sundial Circle to Nonchalant and Sunshine Place from the west side of the entrance to

Town Hall parking to Sundial Circle for the Thunderbird Art and Wine Festivals. The

dates are November 1 – 3, 2013; January 17-19, 2014; and February 28 – March 3, 2014

from 5 p.m. on Thursday evenings through 6 p.m. on Sunday evenings for each event.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action to go into an Executive Session according to A.R.S.

Section 38-431.03(A)(3) for discussion or consultation for legal advice with the attorney

of the Town of Carefree regarding payment of legal fees.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action to approve the payment of legal fees.

ITEM #11- Adjournment.
