Hi Lyn,

I'm involved with the Kiwanis Science Committee and we've been working with the Cactus Shadows High School Teachers & some students on creating an after school environment where students could come and DO science . We have a designated Lab Room that we'll be allowed to use.

There was some discussions on what we should try first in providing an interesting start-up direction.

They seemed to all agree on using the Arduino.

So what's that ?? It's an open source computing multi-platform the size of an index card that can run on Windows , Mac & Linux.

Look up www.arduino.cc

I know enough about the Arduino to be dangerous , having used it , but don't know enough about it to teach/guide the students properly.

Looking for people young or old who would help guide the students, spending maybe 2 hours per week at the Lab.

Anyone interested please e-mail me . jjdv@jjdv.com

Thanks

Joe J DeVito
