Hi Lyn,
On Nov. 11 at 3 pm Carefree is holding a Veteran's Day remembrance. There will be a Carefree resident speaking, Marcelle Chase. Is it possible that this could be taped and put on You Tube as you do with other town events? I and others who cannot attend on 11/11 would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, and thanks for all you are doing to help make Carefree a great place to live,
Phyllis
(Lyn's note: Arthur had told me about this. Herbert and I plan to be there!)
Thanks for all this good news, and especially the link to the school district, which I haven’t had time to research.
Sara
Lyn,
Jo and I have been dealing with this issue for years. These young adults can become very aggressive when challenged that they are in violation of CF ordinances....or that you are sniffing them out.
Several years ago, I called MCSO and they apprehended the pickup van on CF Highway that transports them from HOA to HOA.
Thanks for getting this valuable information out to our fellow CF residents!
Bob Gemmill
(Lyn's note: A couple of years ago, one boy became extremely threatening to one of my neighbors when they refused to buy subscriptions. He said, "I know where you live and I'll be back!" He never did return but needless to say, it scared the bejesus out of them. Some of these kids are capable of acting clean cut and affable for this con, but others are simply thugs and act accordingly. There is nothing good about this ugly scam that plays on the sympathy and kindness of nice people.)
Lyn, they were at my house. I opened the door and told them, "There is nobody home." I bet they are still trying to figure it out.
Jim K.
Thanks, Hon, for the heads-up warning.
Blaine Keith
Thanks Lyn!!
Michael J. Krahe
Thank you, Lyn!
Will Donaldson
Thank you for sharing.

Yep, they have been to our house...almost happened verbatim....hope they round them up.
Jo Gemmill
Excellent advice. My lord, is there anything YOU DON’T DO for that town? I hope they realize how lucky they are to have you!
Laurie P.
(Lyn' note: Thanks for the nice compliment, Laurie. Carefree is fortunate to have a plethora of community minded citizen volunteers who are willing to share their time and talents to make our town the great place it is! Just look at all the wonderful things the current Council, and those who have worked with them, has accomplished to give the downtown a cohesive and classy look. It just goes to show what can be accomplished when people pull together!)
Good information, Lyn. Thanks for sharing and I will forward to our HOA Manager as well.
Also, just a reminder that the Seafood Buffet at the Lariat is this Friday. Whoo Hooo!
Rhonda Heinricher
(Lyn's note: The seafood buffet at the Carefree Resort stopped during the summer. We have been looking forward to trying it. We've heard people rave about it! Thanks for letting us know that it is going again, Rhonda. Whoo Hooo!)
