Letters from Readers & Events: 11/12/14
(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose, and have just added some art as well. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations.) Here's the link to this week's Pictures of the Week.

Good report . Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Lyn. Very interesting. We are wondering how many people responded to the Internet survey? Also, are people with Internet representative of the whole community?
Suzanne Mead
(Lyn's note: 505 responded. The table of respondents by zip code is in the video on a slide. I think most people in this area do have computers. This is a pretty well educated and prosperous area. 505 responses was actually considered quite good by the gentleman doing the presentation. I was very disappointed in the findings reported, as most said they rarely venture into downtown Carefree and so didn't have a clue how many neat shops are there now. People said they wanted more variety of goods and more types of shops and restaurants. I wish they'd go take a look. Herbert and I actually do utilize a lot of Carefree businesses.)
(Lyn's note: the Veterans Day reminder)
Perfect, Lyn. Thanks for getting the word out.
Best regards,
John Crane
(Lyn's note: The event had a record turnout and the program was excellent. Congratulations, and well done, John!)
Good Morning Lyn:
Yesterday, which was Laurie's birthday, we once again went to the Butterfly Wonderland. We have been there three times and will go again. As an attraction the place was mobbed each time we visited.
Bringing an attraction to our town center, with our beautiful Desert Gardens like the Butterfly Wonderland would be a Town Saver.
Those who are so short sited as to think we are only building a new Council Chambers, just can't see the forest for the trees.

Thanks again for the service. I am not an animal owner but I appreciate and see what it means for those who loose their pets.
