CAREFREE TRUTH
Letters from Readers: 11/14/12
Excellent!! I am going to come up and Christmas shop there as well as here in El Pueblo de Mesa. No box stores or malls.

(Lyn's note: Laurie's response to Patty's "shop local" graphic)
The new roundabout signage is quite simply outstanding.

Thanks, Lyn. Can you advise where a web copy would be? As we approach our own battles with Usama to protect the rural areas, your plan probably will give us some good thoughts.

Hi Lyn,
On Nov. 11 at 3 pm Carefree is holding a Veteran's Day remembrance. There will be a Carefree resident speaking, Marcelle Chase. Is it possible that this could be taped and put on You Tube as you do with other town event? I and others who cannot attend on 11/11 would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, and thanks for all you are doing to help make Carefree a great place to live,
Phyllis Strupp
(Lyn's note: Arthur Gimson told me about this. Herbert and I plan to be there, camera in hand. We are looking forward to it!)
Lyn, thanks again for helping with this. I told Marcelle that you would be putting it on a YouTube video, and she's excited to share it with her sister in Belgium.
And thanks for all you do for the town,
Phyllis
(Lyn's note: We did attend the event, and Marcelle was amazing. The next Carefree Truth will be dedicated to her story. Herbert figured out how to do a YouTube for the full 17 minutes and 26 seconds, so as not to break up Marcelle's recital. It would have been a sin to do so. I would encourage everyone to watch it. Have your tissues handy. We are so incredibly blessed not to have ever been subjected to living in a war zone.)
