It will be my pleasure to serve on the P & Z with you and the other Commissioners. Thanks for the nice write-up.

Betsy single handedly mans the voters at Town Hall. The amount of work one woman can do, and keep her head screwed on so professionally, is amazing. I wouldn't last 15 minutes in her shoes! Betsy ROCKS!

Also while I was there I kept giggling along with Janeen; she's got a great sense of humor and kept me entertained as I stood in line. I think it would be a fun place to work! We have a cool town.

Jakki Brooks

(Lyn's note: Carefree and Surprise were the only 2 places in the Valley where early voting could take place. Each had been supplied with a machine that could print out ballots for people from all over, so both were swarmed with early voters. Town Hall was bedlam for quite a while. Most wouldn't last 15 minutes in Betsy's shoes.

Jakki is right on both counts. Betsy is amazing and Janeen is hilarious. Carefree has a terrific staff (and Council), and we do have a cool town!)

That is great to hear but she only saw me in action one day. I could not have gotten it done without the help of Janeen, Bev and Jim who handled everything while I was on vacation October 22-26 and as people walked in the door from October 11 through November 2nd. We have a fantastic staff, willing to help each other and the public when needed. All compliments should go to the rest of the crew; Janeen, Bev and Jim. Carefree IS a great place to work. The best in the state as far as I’m concerned!

Betsy Wise

(Lyn's note: I had sent Jakki's compliment on to Betsy at the time I received it. Here is her response. Janeen, Bev and Jim really stepped up to the plate in her absence. I'm in Town Hall often, and early voting was frantic while Betsy was on vacation. Carefree town staff members are all willing to go the extra mile to help each other and the citizens.)
