Hello Lyn. Would you and Herbie be so kind as to let your readers know that the Carefree Resort & Conference Center is raffling off several battery operated Kiddie Cars, winner to be drawn after this weekend’s Christmas Parade. There are several beautiful cars to be used as part of our float. Proceeds will go to charity. These cars are the pricey kind, perfect for kids ages 4-6. Tickets are $10 each or 2 for $15. The cars can be viewed at the Carefree Resort Lobby. Thank you so much. Ho Ho Ho!

Rhonda

Debbra and Lyn,

If you are comfortable with this, it would be a great help for Valley Dogs, a hard working shelter, if you could forward this to your nonprofit e-network. This is an extraordinarily caring organization that stretches a dollar a long way, not unlike our food bank here in town. I would be grateful for your help.

Sara

Subject: FW: Veterans and Their Pets - Thank You

All,

Thank you for your offer to help support our efforts. As we head into winter this brings difficult times for veterans on the street. Billy (see his story here: www.veteransandtheirpets.org) is just one of the veterans we have assisted over the last 2 years.

These Veterans will not give up the few, if not the only, possession (their animals) they have and often choose to live on the street. We help provide veterinary care for their animals and have successfully helped several Veterans get off the street and into stable living conditions. We do this in cooperation with the VA.

Our fundraiser is December 8, 2012 at The Tilted Kilt in Scottsdale (SW corner of Scottsdale Rd and Bell Rd). The event is from 2pm until 6pm.

We cannot continue to support these Veterans without the support of the community. Many of you have provided donations for the event. Many of you are coming to help setup / run the event. Thank you!

*** If you are still considering donating to this event please let me know so we can arrange pickup. We need all items by Wednesday December 5. ***

àThere are a couple spots available for vendors. If you are interested please let us know. We do not charge a fee for the space and just ask for a donation.

If you cannot attend or donate PLEASE pass the event along to everyone you know. Facebook it. Tweet it. Email everyone you know. Helping us get people to the event is just as important as donating and working the event.

Here is the web site for the event: http://webborganics.com/barknbrew/

A motorcycle will be auctioned off at the event. Marks Motorcycle is a 2004 Yamaha Road Star. Yes a 2004 BUT, it only has 2900 miles on it!

Thank you all for your support.

We cannot do this without you!

Best regards,

Michael West
