CAREFREE TRUTH

Letters from Readers & Events: 2/26/14 Part #1

Letters_from_Readers_%26_Events.html

I am sending Letters, Events, and Ads out in 3 sections now, as it has become so large that it turns into a zip file.  We are delighted that so many of the local non profit organizations are utilizing Carefree Truth now to help publicize their events.

(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included.  If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category.  We have a special section for that purpose, and have just added some art as well.  Check out Tom Baker's photos for sale.  He's the photographer who took that gorgeous photo in the Carefree Gardens Photo Contest that was both the judges' first pick and the public favorite.  It's now featured on the Town of Carefree website, and will be the cover of the 2014 Gardens calendar that will be for sale later this summer at Carefree Town Hall.  If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations.)  Here's the link to this week's Pictures of the Week.

The ULI report was very interesting and exactly why we found Ed Lewis and got zoning done to accommodate the Easy Street project. It's why we stuck our necks out and did the Town Center 13 years ago.  Reserves were replenished in a reasonable time.

In my opinion it is required today to keep Carefree alive and an icon.

I've been here a couple weeks and after meeting with Ed Lewis I'm enthused about Carefree's future and the Phoenix Art Museum as an anchor.

There is nothing more powerful than a gift from an anonymous donor. The act of giving serves as a reminder to all of an old saying, "You get more accomplished when you don't care who gets the credit".

So,  to whomever you are, here is the most powerful phrase in any language...

Thank you.

With the heightened awareness of recent gas leaks I thought this would be a good item to share with residents.
