Indian Market and Cultural Festival responses:
Sounds like the Indian Festival was great. Sorry we missed it. Good use of the Gardens and Ampitheater. KGDS!!
Ed Morgan
It was wonderful and Kudos to the Town for sponsoring such a family oriented event---there was something for everyone. Great photos Herb! And as always thank you Lyn for keeping the foothills area informed!
Anna Marsolo
It was a great event. Thanks to Herbert for the wonderful pictures. He really captured the show & vendors.
Joe Devito
Nice pix. That guy does a LOT of hoops!
Kathy Riemer
(Lyn's note: He won the world championship in his division for 2012 as well. Senior Div. He is not old. But that's sports for you!)
Lyn,
It sounds like it was a great affair. Unfortunately, I do not think
most the folks in town knew what it was all about. Perhaps better
PR for the next one. It would also be helpful next time if the organizers would supply police patrol of the Post Office parking area. It was very difficult to find a place to park for the few minutes it takes to run in and get ones mail. Thunderbird provides this service at their events and it helps a lot.

(Lyn's note: The Indian Market was advertised in Valley newspapers and magazines, as well as in fliers posted around town. Multiple signs could also be seen around the Desert Foothills area. This was the first time for the event, so hopefully even more people will be aware of it next year. As it stood, the turnout was tremendous, and next year should be even better. Like our Christmas Festival, I expect this event will grow exponentially. I believe the Posse will be asked next year to help with PO parking. I suspect the event popularity exceeded expectations, which is wonderful.)
Fire contract responses:
Great info, but I still think your 'blog' should be called "THE
CAREFREE HITCHON POST" with a sub-title "Carefree Truth". Just me! Ha.
