(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here is the link to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!)

Correction from the Town of Carefree about the Presidential Preference Election:
Ballots for the March 8th Election must be received by the Recorder's Office no later than 7pm on Election Day and postmarks do not count.
(Lyn's note: The original version said they could be postmarked on the 22nd.)
You may also want to warn your readers that USPS snail mail isn’t overnight anymore. I recently received, on 3/14/16 a letter than had been mailed in Phoenix, postmarked 3/11/16. I know that it was a weekend, but if someone wants to ensure that there ballot is counted, it is better to drop it off at the Cave Creek Town Hall or mail it well in advance.

I am trying to locate a United Airlines captain who has lived in Carefree for the past 25 years or so. I met him on United flight 98 on Feb 23 from LA to Melbourne and he presented me with signed memorabilia that was too large for me to carry through the South Pacific; he suggested that he bring it to my house and to contact me here in Carefree. I am now back home and have not heard from him and am concerned that the notes he took with my contact information may have been lost. At the same time another crew member took photos of the presentation and I have also not heard from him. I did not get the Captain's name unfortunately. If anyone knows who this might be and could contact him, I would very much appreciate it.

My neighbor’s daughter just built a home over in Laveen. Instead of a pool, the builder put in splash pads.
