(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations. Here is the link to this week's Pictures of the Week. Enjoy!)

I have collaborated with Sonia Perillo on several projects and it has been a joy to work with her and her team. The non-profits in this area are a close group of organizations and she has played a significant part in making this happen. I know Sonia will be successful in her new venture. Good luck Sonia.

Lyn: My car was just hit by a large swarm of bees this afternoon on Cave Creek just north of Mule Train. I thought you might want to warn others that they are already swarming.................Marie C.
Dear Carefree – Cave Creek Residents,
I am a volunteer in the Women’s Empowerment program of Refugee Focus, as a sewing instructor. We have four volunteer instructors and a rapidly growing group of refugee women excited to participate in the sewing classes. The enthusiasm for learning to sew is growing and the women are so appreciative! I have worked with women from Congo, Afghanistan, Burma (that is what she calls it) as well as other countries. In addition to sewing, this program offers these women an opportunity to experience and learn American social norms, practice their English and experience the good feeling of accomplishment.
As is the case with most non-profits, the budget is extremely tight and our supplies are mostly donated. We are seriously in need of quality sewing machines. I am donating my Bernina 140 and it occurred to me that there must be other women who are upgrading or just not using their machines. Donating those sewing machines to a worthy cause could be a great way to do good and clean out that space in the closet. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
I have included links to the Refugee Focus web site so you can see a bit of what the organization is and what they do. My direct supervisor (see below) is Michele Eckert. She and the other employees I have come in contact with are dedicated professionals and I believe anyone you might wish to contact for additional information would be more than willing to speak to you. Of course I would also be more than happy to share any information I have. Please feel free to call me at 602-369-7240.
Thank you,
Trudy Miller

Hi Lyn-I would like to review the Nov 10,2015 council meeting and am wondering if you have or can point me to a link to the video. I am not finding it on The Town web page. Thanks.
Marilyn Maloney
(Lyn's note: Hi, Marilyn. You can find all the videos we do on our webpage at www.carefreetruth.com. These are videos Herbert does, and are not part of anything official to the Town, so are not on the Town website. They are owned by Carefree Truth. Click on the video tab on our website to find what you seek. There are multiple videos from each Council meeting, broken into subjects, however they are not edited and are shown in their entirety.)
Thanks Lyn—Just what I needed to know. Many thanks to you and Herbert for this service.

Good info and good for Carefree. It's hard enough to move real estate as it is I sure home owners and agents are happy. THEY can overdo it with large signs, flags and too many - but maybe this was a gentle wake up call.
