Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose, and have just added some art as well. Check out Tom Baker's photos for sale. He's the photographer who took that gorgeous photo in the Carefree Gardens Photo Contest that was both the judges' first pick and the public favorite. It's now featured on the Town of Carefree website, and will be the cover of the 2014 Gardens calendar that will be for sale later this summer at Carefree Town Hall. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations.) Here's the link to this week's Pictures of the Week.

Lyn,
Thank you for providing an update on Carefree’s pavement maintenance project. The Town of Cave Creek is also participating in this effort. Council has approved $32,000 towards the paving of Stagecoach Pass Road which is used by many residents in Carefree. Collaboration on projects such as this are mutually beneficial to both communities.
Reg Monachino
Councilman
Town of Cave Creek
Lyn's note: My friend's 91 year old dad recently died. Much of her time has been devoted to taking care of him, and now to doing all the necessary paperwork. She came to Carefree for lunch on Thursday. Carefree Bistro was not planning to open for lunch yet, but I asked if they would consider opening sooner, and explained the circumstances. They kindly opened for lunch just for that day. Susan enjoyed it immensely. I emailed them a thank you, and here is George's response:
Thank you so much and it is my pleasure always, and anytime you need us for anything we are at your disposition. Our goal is to treat everyone like family. I hope Susan's spirit is better as she has a great friend like you.
