Carefree Resort & Conference Center Expands Spa Services
Attention spa lovers! Celebrate luxury and indulgence at The Spa at Carefree, located at Carefree Resort & Conference Center, as the international travel destination debuts an entirely new look, an expanded line of services, and the launch of the latest luxury beauty products, at an Open House event, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 26th.
The public is invited to tour the recently redesigned facility, located at 37220 N. Mule Train Road in Carefree.
Attendees will receive free product samples, savings on future visits, and have the chance to enter to win drawings for facials and massages. Mini facials will be available for $25 at the event. Light hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.
The special in-house celebration debuts The Spa at Carefree’s fresh spring look with new collections of premier products and an expanded selection of services for men and women.
“Come solo or grab a friend and make it a spa day,” said Candy Scott, Director of Marketing for the resort. “We want the community to come out and see the refinements we have to maximize their spa experience. We have expanded our services in all areas including massage, body treatments, skin care, hair care, nails and waxing.”
According to Scott, “We understand the importance of privacy and tranquility. The Spa at Carefree resides separate from the main resort, nestled in its own desert oasis. With five private treatment rooms, and fully stocked locker rooms for men and women, it’s easy to feel comfortable and relaxed.”

Celebrate the Run for the Roses!
English Rose Tea Room Hosts Kentucky Derby Party
Can’t make it to the Churchill Downs this year? Head north to the English Rose Tea Room in Carefree for an all day Kentucky Derby celebration with fancy hats, fascinators and mint tea juleps to commemorate the annual Run for the Roses, perhaps the most famous horse race in the world.
For 140 years, the Kentucky Derby has been held during the first weekend in May. This year, restaurant owner Jo Gemmill will be hosting an all day celebration from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, to commemorate America’s longest running sporting event.
Guests attending are encouraged to dress for the occasion, sporting racing hats and proper attire suitable for a day at the track. "We love Derby day. We will have lots of activities throughout the day, from hat contests to race contests. Proceeds from the drawings will benefit the Cave Creek based Triple R Horse Rescue who rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses," said Gemmill.
The Tea Room’s full menu will be available, along with special race day culinary delights.
The English Rose Tea Room is located at 201 Easy Street in Carefree. RSVP is suggested by calling 480-488-4812.
A sampling of what guests will expect:
-Coverage of the race on large screen televisions.
-Sip on Mint Tea Juleps and other English Rose favorites.
-A vast array of classic British finger foods from cucumber sandwiches to scones, plus special Mint Julep cupcakes.
-An opportunity to test their luck and enter into prize drawings.
-Race day memorabilia
-Hat contest
Seating is limited. Reservations are recommended by calling the English Rose Tea Room, 480-488- 4812.

Brilliance LED is excited to feature our 4th generation MR-16 LED lamps (4W, 5W, & 7W). Redesigned to better fit into standard, low voltage, fixtures and is thermally engineered to operate in enclosed fixtures. These LED's feature our own built-in Heat Overload Protection & our enhanced ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) Protection IEC-61000-4-2. Click here to learn more.
Our Heat Overload Protection technology gives you added security by automatically cooling down (and reducing lumens output) only when exposed to extreme heat (air temperatures above 125ºF). Best of all, there is no color shift when lumens output is reduced, and overall lamp life is improved. When extreme temperatures pass, full lumens output will automatically resume.
At this home in North Scottsdale, the contractor chose the MR-16 by Brilliance LED for its color consistency, energy savings and zero maintenance cost. An occasional lens wipe is all that is needed. The warm stone facade is highlighted with four Brilliance LED MR-16's drawing a total of 4 watts each and a 2700K Kelvin temperature. Lumens output is 230lm per lamp with a beam angle of 30º. Each lamp is enclosed in a Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting Fixture 5252.
