SINGER/SONGWRITER FRANCESCA EVANS

DEBUTS LATEST ALBUM AT CAREFREE DAYS

Evans’ Will Play Original Songs from “Right to the Heart”

Saturday, April 12 at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion

U.K. born singer-songwriter, Francesca Evans, will launch her latest album, Right to the Heart, at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion during Carefree Days on Saturday, April 12 from 3-4 p.m.

Evans debut will be part of Magic Bird’s first ever Carefree Days that will take place Friday, April 11 through Sunday, April 13 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  The three-day art, entertainment, and food event is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees throughout the weekend.

Though a native of the U.K., Francesca is a part-time Scottsdale resident and has always enjoyed the Arizona music scene.

With 14 original tracks and 2 covers, Right to the Heart is the realization of a project that has been long in the making. A blend of folk and Americana, Francesca’s album is a stirring synthesis of haunting and uplifting tracks.

“Beautiful to Me” is a personal favorite for Francesca, the song reflects on a marriage that has endured time and illness. “It was the first song I wrote and I had wanted to write on this subject for a long time…somehow it all flowed, I am very pleased with it.”

Though songs like “Beautiful to Me” and “Loose Ends” deal with loss and sadness, other tracks like “Fourth of July” and “Black Caffeine” possess upbeat rhythms with a smooth, contemporary style.

Evans’ lyric abilities and musicianship shine through in Right to the Heart.  She looks forward to performing live, and finds the whole experience exhilarating, “[It’s] nerve racking to say the least, but when the audience likes what you are doing, the feeling of that is amazing.”
