(Lyn's note: Beauty & Bliss is a beauty salon on Easy Street.)
LIKE IT.

I agree the new signs are certainly much more CAREFREE--more CLASS. I LIKE THE WORD "CAREFREE" on them with the "circle and arrow signature".

VERY ATTRACTIVE...NICE ADDITION TO OUR TOWN.
SUSANNE LOEPER
(Lyn's note: All of the above are responses I received after sending out the issue with the picture of the proposed new merchant signs.)
Lyn - You just can't state, "The vast majority of feedback Town Hall has received was positive on the new merchant sign . . ." I don't think this is adequate reporting. This is too vague and generalized. Specifically, how many citizens offered opinions? Of those opinions offered, what was the percentage of positive, of negative, and/or of no clear preference (or ambivalence)? In this paragraph, your reportage sounds more like political rhetoric. Political rhetoric is designed to be vague, general and prohibitive to critical thinking by the listener/reader.
Fred G., Town Curmudgeon
(Lyn's note: The Curmudgeon's letter came after I sent out the results of the public comment period. In answer, I did submit a public records request. There were 17 in favor, 3 opposed, and 1 neutral. The responses I received directly during that period are above.)
Thanks Lyn, for the update. Your work is appreciated by many- thanks again!!!!!

Someone shared the most recent copy of your Carefree Truth. I’d like to be added to your list. At last, an independent citizen forum about what is really happening in our area! It is important that Creekers and Carefree people communicate on all of these important issues.
Thanks.

Hello, Carefree!!!!!
Please forgive the seemingly impersonal nature of this e-mail…..Multi tasking like crazy!
As you may know, I am obsessively involved in supporting Valley Youth Theatre – having founded its Board of Directors more than 20 years ago – and still serving as Chair Emeritus. VYT’s annual fundraising event “The Most VYTal Event of the Season!” will take place in August at the Herberger Theater Center.
In connection with our efforts to drive business to Carefree, I thought this would be tremendous opportunity to further drive business by creating a “Have a Carefree Day” package for the silent auction! This is an easy and effective way to gain exposure to an affluent group of potential patrons and drive them to discover Carefree! Jo at the English Rose Tearoom has enthusiastically agreed to participate! I have attached background info on VYT – and why it is so vital that this youth development organization receives community support. Also attached is the obligatory donation form!
Please let me know if you’re interested in participating – and, if so, fax the donor form directly to me (not to the fax number on the form, please) by Monday, July 30th at 480-922-8731. I’ll arrange to pick-up your item(s).
Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing from you soonest!
Warm regards,
Hope Ozer
