The 2016 Carefree Desert Garden calendars will be available this fall at Carefree Town Hall, 8 Sundial Circle, Carefree. If you like to take pictures, visit the Gardens.  Our entry period for the Gardens photo contest is January.  Your picture could be in the 2017 calendar!

Planning and Zoning Commission Recruitment

As a result of the recent resignation of Planning and Zoning Commissioner and Vice Chairman, Daniel Wainwright, a vacancy has been created on the Carefree Planning and Zoning Commission. Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission also serve on the Development Review Board and Board of Adjustment as needed. 

Persons interested in being appointed to fill this vacancy must be at least 18 years old, and a qualified elector (registered v oter) residing within the Town boundaries. Commission members serve without compensation.  The remainder of this term will expire on November 30, 2016. 

Additional information regarding the role and responsibilities of the Planning and Zoning Commission can be found in in section 3.02 of the Town of Carefree Zoning Ordinance available online at www.carefree.org or by contacting the Town of Carefree at 480-488-3686.

You and Herb are going to have to start hanging around the Desert Gardens at sunset this summer. All sorts of fun has been going on that I am sure you both would enjoy.

Miss Molly, my Golden Retriever, asked me to pass this along to you. She said you would understand. There were lots of Dog and Human smiles all around as the herd grew while I was leaving.
