(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included.  If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category.  We have a special section for that purpose.  If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations.)  Here's the link to this week's Pictures of the Week.  Enjoy!

Lyn - Thanks for sending out the Spirit in the Desert announcement on the Healing of Memories for Veterans Workshop. I really appreciate your kindness in doing this.

Happy 4th!

Mike Wold

(Lyn's note: Mike, we are always happy to help promote your wonderful program, Healing of Memories, to help the vets.  It got well deserved top billing on the non profit page.  Thanks for all you do.)

I am liking the splash pad idea.  Think it would bring more day trippers in with their families.   Boy do we need an ice cream shop and hot dog stand!   My grandkids are all East Coast but us old folks would be entertained watching children play.

Thanks for your work and I am thrilled that Angel is back home.   Spending the summer at our cabin in Maine but missing my Carefree every minute.

Regards,

Eileen C.

(Lyn's note: I'm looking forward to playing in the splash pad!)

I agree.  I think there would be plenty of us sneaking onto the splash pad.   Thanks again for your work.

How totally cool!!  Put up a wine bar, hidden music (like in downtown Chicago), and you are set.

I think this changing-the-bulb in the swimming guy is my neighbor, bully I say, bully!

Happy 4th to you Lyn. Thanks for all you do!

I learned a new trick while I was at Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary a couple of weeks ago. As you know, dogs have a lot of static electricity in their coats. You can see sparks if you pet or brush them at night in the dark. Well, Leyton told me that he takes a dryer sheet (the ones you put in dryer to take out wrinkles) and rubs the dog with it. It takes out the static electricity in their coats and makes it more bearable during lightening/thunder storms!
