Easy Street Galleria, a new and unique addition to Carefree town center will be opening it's doors Sept. 1st. Easy Street Galleria will be home to over a dozen talented fine artists and crafters that work in many different mediums from oil painting to exotic wood creations. Easy Street Galleria is the creative vision of Michelle Miller and Victoria Orrico, both long time residents of Carefree. Michelle enjoys working with people and her experience as a sales rep for Lia Sophia for many years has a given her a great eye for fashion. Michelle loves purchasing beautiful clothing and accessories for the Boutique area. Victoria creates whimsical creations from gourds and dabbles in many other medias. She has been featured in many art shows, newspapers and even interviewed twice on Fox news 15! Victoria will be teaching many of the art classes herself. Bring a friend and a bottle of wine for a fun art workshop, then shop in the art gallery or the clothing boutique! World-Renowned Artist Comes to Carefree
Enchanted Pumpkin Garden
October 16-31
Halloween spirit invades Carefree in the form of whimsical pumpkin carvings from master carver Ray Villafane. The Enchanted Pumpkin Garden is open to the public from October 16-31, 9 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Woven throughout the Carefree Desert Gardens, there will be over 30 playful characters, artfully imagined and frolicking in a magical village, as well as twelve preserved pumpkins in pickling tanks. The preserved designs will be on display in Saguaros, carved by Villafane, and lit by LED lighting.
Based in Arizona, Ray Villafane is a world-renowned American sculptor who has travelled throughout the globe fashioning exceptional figures and scenes out of pumpkins, sand and snow.
Villafane has been called, "The Michelangelo of pumpkin carving," by Martha Stewart, carving for the President at the White House and on numerous national TV programs. From Good Morning America to the Food Network's Pumpkin Challenges, which he won in 2008, 2009, and 2010. For more information visit carefree.org.

IN THE CAREFREE TOWN CENTER!
The town of Carefree is about to become even more art enriched with the opening of Easy Street Galleria on Tuesday, September 1st — where else —but on Easy Street in the Carefree town center!
Easy Street Galleria is a new and unique business offering distinctive fine art, uncommon arts and crafts, fashion items, fashion accessories, and all levels of art classes and instruction. The Galleria is home to over a dozen talented fine artists and crafters that work in a myriad of mediums — from oil painting to exotic wood creations. In addition to the artwork, the Galleria also includes a fashion boutique and a colorful, spacious seven hundred square foot working art studio/classroom that will host classes from beginner level to advanced, for both adults and children.
Easy Street Galleria is the creative vision of Michelle Miller and Victoria Orrico, both long-time residents of Carefree. “I enjoy working with people and my extensive experience as a sales representative for Lia Sophia has given me a great eye for fashion and accessories,” states Michelle. Michelle loves purchasing beautiful clothing and accessories for the boutique area of the Galleria.
“I love developing whimsical creations from gourds and dabbling in many other art media.”, says co-owner Victoria. Victoria plans to teach many of the upcoming art classes at the Galleria. “The perfect evening will be to bring a friend and a bottle of wine to the Galleria and participate in one of our fun art workshops. After class, browse the artwork and fashion boutique. You are sure to find something that you just can’t live without!,” laughs Victoria.

Easy Street Luxury Condominiums
Carefree further strengthened its image as one of Arizona’s emerging residential and commercial development areas with the unanimous approval by the Town Council of Easy Street, a $45 million project of luxury condominiums in the downtown Carefree area by developer Ed Lewis.
Mr. Lewis, through his Scottsdale-based Butte Companies, recently developed The Landmark ultra-luxury urban condominiums in Kierland, and has a history for pioneering unique developments that combine high-service luxury with the convenience of a pedestrian friendly location.
The forty-nine new luxury residences along Easy Street will offer a complete lifestyle package along with a variety of spectacular mountain views just steps away from the Carefree Desert Gardens and the Town Center. Residents will be adjacent to the best of Carefree’s numerous amenities.
“We view the Easy Street development to be an outstanding residential option for the residents of Carefree as well as residents from throughout the entire desert foothills area,” said Carefree Mayor Les Peterson. “Our Council, in keeping with the wishes of the town’s residents, has been careful to preserve Carefree’s unique lifestyle and image. The Easy Street development fits in beautifully with the Town and our vision for its future.”
Steve Betts, a development expert contracted by the Town of Carefree, echoed Mayor Peterson’s comments. “The Easy Street development represents a milestone in Carefree’s development,” said Mr. Betts. “Ed Lewis was among the first to identify and capitalize on the attractive Carefree area, joining Toll Brothers and Keystone Homes with residential developments in close proximity to the downtown area. The impact of Mr. Lewis’s development sets the stage for dramatic additional commercial projects such as a complementing boutique hotel, additional restaurants, retails shops and micro-breweries.”
“Easy Street provides an attractive new housing option for those desiring a maintenance free lifestyle close to the many amenities of a downtown village but still in the desert foothills area,” said Ed Lewis. With the approval received last evening from the Town Council, Mr. Lewis stated that reservations for the Easy Street project will commence this fall, with available occupancy planned for the fall of 2017.
