(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included. If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category. We have a special section for that purpose. Check out Tom Baker's photos for sale. He's the photographer who took that gorgeous photo in the Carefree Gardens Photo Contest that was both the judges' first pick and the public favorite. It's now featured on the Town of Carefree website, and will be the cover of the 2014 Gardens calendar that will be for sale later this summer at Carefree Town Hall. If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations.) Here's the link to this week's Pictures of the Week.

Be sure to check out our new online Community Events calendar on the Community Events page. At the request of a number of citizens, we have implemented a calendar to capture all of the events in our Towns. The best part is that local organizations can enter their own events, which we will then approve before publication.

Hi Lyn, Jan Misseri here. Just would like to put a little something in the great "Carefree Truth". I am searching for a position as an administrative assistant/customer service provider as well as a pet sitter.
Will match prices you are paying now. I've worked in all of these areas for the past sixteen years and can provide references. I live in Carefree so I am readily available to all in the area. Please feel free to contact me either by email - casbin@aol.com or by phone - 480-488-5182.
Hi Lyn,
Saw the Scully Fund Raiser poster.
I guess it didn't turn out so good - Also can't access the web site.
I've mentioned this to Elaine Adrian who will send you a more functional version and hopefully you won't mind doing again.
Sorry
Joe DeVito
(Lyn's note: Much better when sent in a different format, so here it is again, as per Joe's request.)

For the past few months, the Arizona Chamber Executives have been working with the Arizona Commerce Authority to create a comprehensive survey that provides unique insight into economic trends in Arizona including plans and concerns of businesses in different regions of the state. This project is meant to engage chambers as partners throughout the research and reporting process and is a means to forge stronger partnerships between ACA and the chambers.
This is a high priority collaboration between ACA and ACE. The survey should take no more than ten minutes. The response deadline is Friday, September 6th, 2013. Your participation is greatly needed and appreciated.

ImagesAZ Magazine Expands Distribution to 46,500 magazines
Beginning October 2013, the local magazine will have an expanded distribution of 46,500 magazines in two separate regions.
For more than 13 years, ImagesAZ magazine has been the premiere lifestyle publication in the north Valley. Written to inform, inspire and entertain, the magazine's aim is to showcase the community's personality through high-quality storytelling. The content is kept local and relevant - and written with integrity and style. As a result, no other magazine resonates with local families and residents like ImagesAZ. Readers look forward to its arrival and typically keep each piece for months after its publication. This is because readers engage with the magazine: they read the stories, they see the advertisements, and they discuss it with friends and neighbors.
Beginning October 2013, ImagesAZ magazine's distribution will increase to 46,500 area households.
- Anthem/New River/Tramonto edition will remain at 16,500.
- Carefree/Cave Creek/North Scottsdale edition will increase from 18,500 to 30,000.
"At ImagesAZ, we take a lot of pride in providing a service to the community," says ImagesAZ publisher and owner Shelly Spence. "We are thrilled to be expanding our reach and, therefore, to be uniting more residents, business owners and personalities in the community."
In addition, ImagesAZ has gone the extra mile to back our reach with a verifiable audit. Anyone can say their publication reaches a certain number of households, but we can back it up through the industry's most trusted independent auditor, Alliance for Audited Media.
If you have any questions regarding information in this press release, please contact ImagesAZ at shelly@imagesaz.com.
