(Lyn's note: Please feel free to send us any pictures you'd like included.  If your photos are for sale, let us know and we will put them under that category.  We have a special section for that purpose.  Check out Tom Baker's photos for sale.  He's the photographer who took that gorgeous photo in the Carefree Gardens Photo Contest that was both the judges' first pick and the public favorite.  It's now featured on the Town of Carefree website, and will be the cover of the 2014 Gardens calendar that will be for sale later this summer at Carefree Town Hall.  If anyone would like to buy a print of any of Herbert's photos, all profits will be donated to one of the local non-profit organizations.)  Here's the link to this week's Pictures of the Week.

Hello Lyn and Herbert,

This looks wonderful and we are grateful for the support.  Thank you for giving us an opportunity to view it.

We are so excited about this project and the opportunity to be part of the Town of Carefree.

Warm regards,

Rebecca

(Lyn's note: Ms. Lombardo is the General Manager of Sanderson Lincoln.  I included their team in the email list when I sent out the Carefree Truth issue about the Sanderson Lincoln donation.)

Lyn,

When and how did the City announce to the public in the Arizona Republic and Wall Street Journal about the naming rights for the City’s amphitheater being available to the highest bidder? My wife and I read the newspaper every day and we did not see any City bid announcement until the renaming was announced.  A lot of questions going on about the amphitheater renaming.

Bob Brenner

(Lyn's note: It was discussed repeatedly at workshops and at Council meetings, and was reported each time in Carefree Truth, that donors were to be sought this year to fund the capital improvement projects proposed for town property.  One of these projects called for additional shade, lighting, and a sound system for the amphitheater.  Sanderson Lincoln made the donation.

Lyn,

First of all I want to thank you and Herbie for all the support you have been providing to help make the Healing of Memories for Veterans Workshop a success.

I wanted to let you know that, in addition to conducting the Healing of Memories for Veterans Workshop at the Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center on October 18-20, Father Michael Lapsley, the Anglican priest from South Africa who will be conducting the workshop, will be giving a one hour talk on Thursday, October 17 at 7:00pm at the Black Mountain United Church of Christ (30600 N. I would like to request that you make an announcement of this event in the Carefree Truth.

Thank you,

Hi Lyn, Jan Misseri here.  Just would like to put a little something in the great "Carefree Truth".  I am searching for a position as an administrative assistant/customer service provider as well as a pet sitter. Will match prices you are paying now.  I've worked in all of these areas for the past sixteen years and can provide references.  I live in Carefree so I am readily available to all in the area.  Please feel free to contact me either by email - casbin@aol.com or by phone - 480-488-5182.
