"SALUTE TO VETERANS" Thursday, November 11, 2010

 

The Veteran's Heritage Project, a program of Cactus Shadows High School  has documented over 30  Veteran Kiwanis member's military service stories in their six volumes of "Since You Asked". This project keeps the hearts and minds of our youth connected to the history of our country through Veterans stories.

 The Veteran's Heritage Project will be partnering with the Town of Carefree to present the 2nd Annual  " Salute to Veterans" in the gardens of the amphitheater in the town center from 2-5pm on Thursday, November 11, 2010.

Richard Romley will be speaking as a veteran of the Vietnam War as well as speakers from WWll and Iraq. The Main Event  10 pc. swing band will play a musical tribute to all branches of military service as well as popular music from the decades throughout the afternoon.
