Great move Holly and all involved. This is needed and should get the endorsement of all who truly care about Carefree.

Proposition 407
From: Wayne Fischer and Don Snyder, co-chairmen
November 2nd, the date of our next election, is rapidly approaching. Our Proposition 407, proposing modifying language in the Town Code to insure continuing successful Direct Election of the Mayor, will be on the large ballot containing multiple national, Arizona, and local candidates and issues. We believe that a high voter turnout in Carefree will be favorable to passage of Proposition 407, and are planning direct mailings to registered Carefree voters to heighten awareness of the importance of voting for Proposition 407.
VOTE FOR PROPOSITION 407.
Committee for Direct Election of the Mayor
" . . . taking every opportunity to pounce on what they perceive as weaknesses within the system . . ." Oh, I think they "perceive" quite correctly . . . it's what they "portray" that is false, misleading, and reprehensible for people who are supposed to have place the interests of Carefree citizens first!
Good edition!

I have used Desert Foothills Landscaping from my first year in Carefree 1994. They have never let me down on any and all requests. They are a Top Notch outfit and I endorse them 100%

Peeper Don and Looney John
In the September 29th edition of the Sonoran News readers were treated to what is strange even for this tabloid.
Don “The Peeper” Sorchych bragged about another of his voyeuristic achievements in supposedly getting a picture of past Carefree council members talking to current Carefree council members. Nasty stuff this! Right up the alley of “Peeper Don”.
John “Looney” Traynor became unhinged in the Guest Editorial trying to defend the Sonoran News with strange references to literature racks at the airport, and the Tower of Babel. Traynor goes on to hammer away on his favorite topic, the financial mismanagement of the town. Of course he does not mention the fact that the town finished the year $300K+ ahead of budget. Any wonder Sorchych gives “Looney John” all the “ink” he wants?
