    This letter was sent in response to the letter from Fred and Barbara, and I was granted permission to publish it.

We have attended the council meetings, just as you have, to determine for ourselves what this is all about. 

 

 

We agree with you whole heartedly that David Schwan is all of the things you said, "...knowledgeably conspicuous, most competent, and most professional..." and "...Mayor Schwan’s self-control, his grace, his elegant governance, and his tolerant, soothing demeanor...".  We were very impressed with David Schwan and feel he is quite competent in his role as Mayor. 

 

 

We find that it is difficult to attend the council meetings, however, because of the pettiness and the constant battling and the inability of some to understand the true purpose of their position as Carefree Council members.  So much energy and time is wasted; and now the expense caused by this unnecessary recall.   It would seem fair for those initiating this recall to pay for the expenses incurred. 

 

 

We will continue to support Mayor David Schwan.
