NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF CAREFREE COMMON COUNCIL

WHEN: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2012

WHERE: CAREFREE TOWN HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS

TIME: 5:00 P.M.

Pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Common Council of the Town of Carefree, Arizona and to the general public that the members of the Common Council will hold a meeting open to the public on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Carefree Town Hall Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, in Carefree.

The auditor will attend telephonically.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

Call to Order, Silent Roll Call and Pledge of Allegiance.

CONSENT AGENDA

All items listed hereunder are considered to be routine by the Common Council and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Councilmember so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be discussed separately:

ITEM #1- A. Approval of October 2, 2012 Town Council Regular Meeting Minutes.

2. B.Approval of October 13, 2012 Special Town Hall Meeting Minutes.
   

ITEM #2- Acceptance into the public record the August, 2012 paid bills.

ITEM #3- Approval of Proclamation Declaring November American Diabetes Month in the Town

of Carefree

REGULAR AGENDA:

ITEM #4- Call to the Public: Consideration and discussion of comments and complaints from the

public. Pursuant to Section 2-4-7 G of the Town Code and A.R.S. 38-431.01(G), those

wishing to address the Council need not request permission in advance. Action taken as

a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or

rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. The public

may address the Council on any matter not on the agenda. At the conclusion of an open

call to the public, individual members of the public body may respond to criticism

made by those who have addressed the public body, may ask staff to review a matter or

may ask that a matter be put on a future agenda; however, the Council may not take

action at this time. Please limit your comments to not more than 3 minutes.

ITEM #5- Discussion and possible action regarding the 2011-2012 Fiscal Year Town Audit,

Expenditure Limitation Report and Financial Review of the Carefree Municipal Court

and the June, July and August, 2012 cash receipts and disbursements reports.

The auditor will attend telephonically.

ITEM #6- Discussion and possible action regarding a cooperative purchase of two heart monitors.

ITEM #7- Current Events

ITEM #8- Discussion and possible action regarding the cash receipts and disbursements report for September, 2012.

ITEM #9- Discussion and possible action regarding Resolution 2012-09, Canvass of the Vote for

the General Election Proposition 451 referring to the Ratification of General Plan 2030.

ITEM #10- Discussion and possible action regarding street closure of the eastbound right lane of

Cave Creek Road, Bloody Basin from Cave Creek Road to Nonchalant, Nonchalant from

Bloody Basin to Easy Street and all of Easy Street and all of Sundial Circle from 2 p.m.

to 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 for the Carefree Christmas Parade.

ITEM #11- Discussion and possible action regarding street closure of Ho Hum between Easy Street and the parking lot at 100 Easy Street from Thursday, December 5, 2012 at 6 a.m. to

Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 5 p.m. for the Carefree Christmas Festival.

ITEM #12- Discussion and possible action regarding Ordinance 2012-04 regarding merchant

sidewalk A-frame signs. FIRST READING

ITEM #13- Discussion and possible action regarding approval of Wine Festival/Wine Fair Liquor

Licenses for Lisa Neideffer-Rhodes, Arizona Stronghold Vineyards for Friday-Sunday,

January 18-20, 2013 and Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 1-3, 2013 during

the Thunderbird Art and Wine Festivals
